At Mobility Manawatu we offer a range of services to help keep your mobility equipment reliable and safe. And best of all we come to you so you don’t have to worry about where to go or how to get there.
We are authorised service agents for Heartway Medical Products, Pride Mobility, Shoprider, Comfort, AMW and CTM. We also have a good knowledge of, service manuals and access to parts for most other brands of mobility equipment and all work we undertake is guaranteed.
Service Check
We have a 36 point service check similar to a warrant of fitness that we recommend is carried out every six to nine months. The service covers everything on your scooter or power chair including lights, batteries, motor brushes, controls, wheels & bearings etc. If you have a proven service record, apart from knowing your equipment is safe and reliable, your scooter or power chair is worth more if you decide to sell it or trade up.
Repairs & Maintenance
We have both the equipment and facilities to repair and maintain your mobility equipment. Most maintenance work can be carried out at your place as we have a fully equipped van. If the work cannot be done at your place, we will transport it back to our workshop to complete the work.
Insurance
Should your mobility equipment be involved in an accident (or by accidently damaged) if it is covered by insurance we can help. We are a recognised repairer by all major insurance companies. All we need is the name of your insurance company and a claim number and we can handle the process from there. If it can be repaired we can repair it, if it is a write off we can supply replacement equipment. We can also supply loan equipment for you to use while your equipment is with us.
Battery Test
We have a battery load tester that can tell us the condition of your batteries, and if they need replacing we carry the replacement batteries. Some mobility scooters require the controller to be re-programmed to accept new batteries and we have the equipment and knowledge to do this.
Charger Test
We have a tester than can check the voltage and amperage that your battery charger is putting into the batteries and if your charger is faulty, we have replacement chargers.
Tyres
We have a wide range of tyres and tubes for mobility scooters, power wheelchairs and standard wheelchairs. We also offer the option of grey non-marking or black tyres in most sizes.
